This bot looked so much like ours that many people didn't
know the difference. Both collected balls and delivered
them by tilting the basket over the goal. Both lined their
basket with rope.

The picture at right is special because it shows 833
in a fight with our robot, 997. Sorry, I don't know
who was winning. But I understand that we typically
were able to push them around. On the other hand
they were fast enough that they could get between us
and the goal and so block us from dumping balls into it.

Our bot was generally fast at collecting balls. And at
precisely 130 lbs it was able to push smaller bots around.
It was a very strong contender and after the first two rounds
was in the #1 rank.
However after that
we had an amazing string of bad luck
and we lost all further matches.
In most cases
our alliance partners bots failed, and this happened with
partners who were basically very strong entries.

Here you can see the use of a "tether" to locate the bot in
two zones at once. We considered implementing a tether,
but the postings from the first officials said that if
a tether had the possibility for entanglement then it
would disqualify the bot. When we got to the event
we saw plenty of bots that were capable of entanglement.
But the judges were not using that standard. Instead
they only disqualified a bot if it actually entangled
a competitor. The experienced teams may have suspected
the judges would pull this switcheroo. As a rookie in a
state with no experienced teams we didn't even have
access to a mentor who knew the history of the judges
interpretations of the rules. So it goes.
