This year we focussed on the new machine, Sojourner.
The project was kept secret (except for its name)
until its unveiling at Da Vinci Days.

Sojourner transmission [rev 2] installation on quadracycle.
Once it was installed, Dave and I 'bench' tested it.
We then took it out into the driveway and tested it, both while riding it and while walking alongside.
I trained Eric in welding. Here he is practicing.

Edward shows off the frame we built for Sojourner.
It's really not heavy. Only 70 lbs at this point.
Here is the power drive assembly. The transmissions will be mounted on the opposite side of the board.
The first transmission is mounted to the drive train mech. This is the top side.
This is the bottom side. The board has been trimmed to fit into the Sojourner frame.
Here is the icon I developed for Sojourner
We put it all together, with 3 of 6 wheels. Gary is working on it.

Sojourner with drive mech and three wheels. Gary and Dave are running a powered test of Sojourner.
We have JPL's Sojourner, and our Sojourner.
Notice the family resemblence?

Not everything was kinetic
I had always wanted a Jacob's Ladder.
This year I bought a neon sign power supply, and made one.
