Frogasaurus Rex at the Olympia Procession of the Species Parade 2006

Corvallis has held a Procession of the Species parade for several years. What I hadn't realised is that Olympia was the original parade. This year we were invited, and because for a change Olympia scheduled it a week earlier than Corvallis, we were able to attend. It is a big parade. Despite the marginal weather, the spectators were abundant and enthusiastic. Everyone had a wonderful time.

After the parade we had a wonderful meal at a local restaurant. The city was very welcoming and pleasant. Not what I think of as a big city. Much nicer.
