I was part of the Kinetic Sculpture Racing Theme Camp at Burning Man. We took people for rides on our machines, or let them drive. My machines were KangaRex and the Spinner. Both were quite popular.

| While driving KangaRex around, checking out other people's art, I met this woman. We then toured together on KangaRex. We encountered this monster walking machine. Unfortunately it wasn't running and there wasn't anyone around to talk about it. |

I fixed the bike for the gorgious woman in the previous picture. It was a pleasure just to talk with her. |

The riders on the left are Kate and her guy. We hung around together. The three of us plus another guy from my camp joined "the biggest battle between good and evil". There were about 10,000 people with lightsabers, battling. We took KangaRex, making it a cross between Star Wars and Mad Max. It was riotous fun! |
On the right you can see a picture across the camps. There were about 40,000 people there. Naturally, this is just a small slice. |

Yes, that's... ahem... toilet paper on top of the Spinner. I was distributing it to the porta-potties. Naturally folks got interested in the Spinner. So I let them ride. | ||

| Burn the man! Actually this was the second burning. The first was a case of arson. But folks quickly created a new man to burn. |

| Crude Awakening. It is hard to imagine the scale of this. That derrick is full size. And those figures praying to it are several times larger than life. |
