The weather had been very warm lately, triggering thoughts in one and all about floating down the river on rafts. We made our plans. The day arrived. And it was barely warm enough. Sigh... We decided to go for it anyway. It was hard enough finding a time when most of us could show up, without worrying about trivialities like the weather.
The crew consisted of Dave R, Raymond, Anna and her friends, and me.

When we got back from rafting we (minus Dave) went to my house to make pies. The idea was to use up some of the apples from my tree. Granted, it is pretty hopeless. We cannot possibly make enough pies to use up all those apples. But so what! The pies are tasty.
