The Fourth of July Parade 1999 Corvallis

The 4th of July arrived on the 3d of July this year. At least the parade was on the third. I guess Saturday was considered a better day than Sunday for a parade.

The Oregonian for the 3d talked about how often it rains on the 4th. It showed how there is a peak of probability on that day. Those of us who have lived here a long time can attest to that. There is a slightly lower probability for the 3d. And sure enough, the weather was gorgeous. At least during the parade.

	I didn't get a co-pilot this year, so I took Rex to the parade alone.
	These two guys made the parade a colorful affair.
	The 'Statue of Liberty' woman is the founder of the parade. That's her sister with her.
	What makes this parade so much fun is that everybody is IN the parade. Especially the children.
	Last year was a bigger affair. But this year had a first. We had a live band.
	Some kids were giving out candy.
