The First Day - Art Judging

	More new talent. That is Barbara, the main artist for The Rex Files in 2000.

	Hog Wild is Ken Beidelman's creation. The artwork is mostly unchanged from last year. But he added considerable movement to the head, mouth, and eyes.

	Drum Roll is a new machine. They raced in Arcata this year for the first time. And Aced.
	The crew from the Yellow Submarine was painting their logo onto anyone who would hold still. They used indelible paiint. I had to fight them off or they would have painted it onto some of our Rex vests.

The Second Day - Safety Check and Parade

	Kelly and Barbara drove The Rex Files in the parade.
	Yellow Submarine is from California. After the Arcata race this year their trailer rolled with the submarine on it. I'm amazed they were still able to race it. That sub must be pretty strong.

The Second Day - Road

The Second Day - Sand

	Wet Paint is a new machine They provided the paint. Spectators were encouraged to paint on it.

	Loony Rover didn't actually race. But they made it to the sand.

The Third Day - Mud

	The Rex Files follows Julianna in the mud.
	Fifi in the mud.
	Drum Roll had to be pushed out of the mud. Plowing mud with those wide wheels is just to much for any mortal. Drum Roll is a new team from California.
	Yi Fang Dragon.
	Bog Beauty is Paul Vibrans' latest. Last year it was the Aladin lamp.
	Grendel.

The Third Day - River

	The Rex Files picked up some mud. We have just converted from mud to water and we are ready to go. Converting consists of uninverting the pontoons and moving the chains onto the water drive sprockets.
