Steering:

Each pilot has a steering crank connected to the common pulley. Nine turns of the crank takes the steering system from one extreme to the opposite. Turning radius is 6 feet 4 inches. In sand or mud terrain, steering can also be affected by use of the directional brakes or by only one pilot pedaling.

Two disk brakes. The brake lever allows the brakes to be used for steering when descending hills. Either pilot can control the brakes.

Water drive:

The 16 inch composite propeller and the rudder both automatically swing up when beaching.
